A Personalized Dog Urn with the Name You Still Say
Some names become part of the way a home feels. They are spoken on walks, written on a tag, and remembered long after the familiar footsteps are gone.
This personalized dog urn is hand-painted in Jingdezhen from your photographs and can include your dog's name, meaningful dates, or a short message. The wording is arranged to support the portrait rather than compete with it.
Before final firing, you receive a preview and one complimentary revision so the portrait and wording can be checked while changes are still possible.

Personalization: Make the Memorial Recognizably Theirs
Wording accuracy is the defining promise. Ask the customer to enter spelling, capitalization, punctuation, and dates exactly as they should appear and to identify placement only when it matters.
Portrait Style
-
Closed Eyes: a calm resting expression and the base style;
-
Open Eyes: painted from the eye shape and color visible in the reference photographs.
Use the current product selector for the exact price difference. Do not state a price in body copy unless it matches every live variant.
Optional Hand-Painted Detail
Current standardized choices on the five newer dog-urn pages are None, National Flag, Clothing / Outfit, Bow Tie, Scarf, and Other Details. These are painted ceramic elements, not removable accessories. The flagship PS-07 live selector currently differs and must be reconciled before its standard is implemented.
Contact support@pawcelain.com before ordering a complex idea so feasibility can be confirmed.
Name, Dates, and Wording
Add a name, meaningful dates, a short message, or concise design notes. Enter spelling, capitalization, punctuation, and dates exactly as they should appear. Pawcelain should confirm unclear or conflicting instructions instead of guessing.
Photographs
Provide one clear portrait image and optional supporting views. If a tag or collar shows the correct spelling, it may be uploaded as a supporting image, but the typed personalization field remains the order authority.
Recommended upload structure:
-
Main Portrait Photo - required: controls face, expression, and primary angle;
-
Detail Photo - optional: confirms markings, eye color, collar, accessory, or another small feature;
-
Additional Angle - optional: confirms head shape, coat transitions, ears, chest, or body color.
Handmade Ceramic Craftsmanship in Jingdezhen
Jingdezhen has been associated with porcelain-making for more than a thousand years. Pawcelain uses this ceramic tradition because a memorial should carry the patience, weight, and visible attention of something made by hand.
Each urn may pass through up to 72 making steps, including clay preparation, shaping, drying, trimming, first firing, sanding, portrait painting, glazing, final firing, inspection, and packing. Ceramic pigments are painted onto the prepared form. After preview approval, the piece is glazed and fired at around 1280 C so the artwork becomes part of the finished ceramic surface rather than a sticker or printed transfer.
Small variations in brushwork, glaze, surface, color, and form are natural signs of handmade work. They make each memorial one of a kind; they do not replace Pawcelain's responsibility to follow the approved portrait direction, wording, selected options, and quality standard.

- Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, bleach, or harsh chemicals;
- Do not place in a dishwasher, microwave, oven, freezer, or direct flame;

- Keep ashes in their sealed inner bag because the urn is not airtight;
- Wrap lid and body separately if the urn must be moved.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where can my dog's name be placed?
The name can be arranged on the front body or another suitable visible area according to the portrait and available space. State the preferred placement if it matters; otherwise the artist will use the clearest balanced placement and show it in the preview.
Can I include both a name and dates?
Yes. Enter the name and dates exactly as they should appear, including capitalization, punctuation, separators, and date format. Keep wording concise so it remains legible and does not compete with the portrait.
Can I add a short memorial message?
A concise message may be possible when space permits. For longer wording, contact support@pawcelain.com before ordering. Pawcelain will not abbreviate, rewrite, or invent memorial wording without confirmation.
What controls spelling: the photo of the tag or the typed field?
The typed personalization field is the order authority. A tag or collar photo can support the design, but every name and date should be typed exactly as it should appear so the artist is not asked to infer lettering from an image.
Will I see the name and dates in the artwork preview?
Yes. The preview should show the portrait and planned wording before final firing. One complimentary revision is included, so review spelling, dates, placement, portrait details, and selected accessories together in one clear response.
What photographs should I upload?
Use one sharp face photograph in natural light, plus optional supporting images for coat color, markings, ears, or an accessory. If the best expression photo differs from the truest-color photo, identify the role of each image.
How do I choose the right capacity?
Use capacity as the primary guide: S approximately 600 ml, M approximately 800 ml, and L approximately 1100 ml. Confirm the dimensions of the crematory's sealed inner bag and leave comfortable extra room. Pet weight is general guidance only.
Is the personalized dog urn airtight?
No. The high-fired ceramic body is waterproof, but the lidded urn is not completely airtight, vacuum sealed, or hermetically sealed. Keep cremated remains inside the sealed inner bag supplied by the crematory.
How long does a personalized urn take?
Custom production is approximately 15-20 business days before shipping. A requested revision may add about 3-5 business days. Carrier transit begins after final inspection and dispatch.
Can I return the urn if I entered a name or date incorrectly?
Once production begins, custom-made items cannot be returned or exchanged for customer-entry errors or a change of mind. Check all wording before submitting the order and again during the preview. Confirmed Pawcelain errors remain subject to the current quality policy.
